Our Goals

To educate dangerous grapplers in the art of Judo for the purpose of expanding the individual’s knowledge and to expand the reach of Judo.
The principal of Judo is to apply ‘Maximum Efficiency, Minimum Effort’ to achieve the desired result. Likewise with the Supreme judo website, we are looking to efficiently educate and train individuals while reaching as many people as possible with the least effort but at the same time ensuring maximum efficacy.

What we do

SupremeJudo.com.au is the subscription-based arm of Supreme Judo offering online grading and technical instruction for grapplers.

Who is Supreme Judo for

The ideal participant is an existing grappler who wants to expand their existing knowledge and progress towards a Judo black belt.

Lineage in Judo

In many grappling arts lineage is important for understanding pedigree and is often historically significant to individuals. Lineage in Judo is centralised such that all black belt gradings are conducted via a committee instead of via individual instructors and lineage normally does not have any indication of one’s pedigree in Judo. Gradings from white belt to brown are conducted directly by the instructor and black belts gradings, although may be recommended by the instructor, are assessed by a Judo Australia nominated panel.

Founder

Supreme Judo was founded by Kirren Robson-Garth, a 3rd degree Judo black belt and 2nd degree BJJ black belt who has competed both nationally and internationally in both sports. He has over 2 decades of grappling experience and has been both State and National champion in both sports. As well as this Kirren has studied wrestling, Aikido and sambo and is familiar with both the gi and no gi application of grappling. “I believe that the tough and technical mentality of Judo would benefit all grapplers.”
Peter Alway

Peter Alway

For reference, Kirren progressed from white belt to black belt in Judo under the tutelage of Peter Alway from Preston Judo in Victoria Australia. Peter Alway is currently a 6th Dan in Judo (Red/White belt) and is still actively teaching.

Daniel Kelly

Subsequent to obtaining his black belt Kirren earned his 2nd and 3rd Dan under instructors Daniel Kelly and Maria Pekli from Dominance mma and Resilience training center in Victoria Australia. Daniel and Maria are both multiple Olympic judo players and both are considered to be some of Australia greatest Judo players of all time. Maria is currently a 5th Dan in Judo and Daniel is a 4th Dan in Judo.
